All information displayed on Cart Decode is sourced exclusively from publicly available government databases, open-source datasets, and public records. Cart Decode does not create, alter, or editorialize any of this data. We are a conduit for information that is already a matter of public record and, where applicable, legally required to be publicly disclosed under federal and state law.

3. No Warranty on Data Accuracy

Cart Decode makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any information displayed. Data sourced from third-party public databases may contain errors, omissions, or delays that are outside our control.

Cart Decode is provided "as is" and "as available." You acknowledge that your use of any information from this platform is entirely at your own risk. Cart Decode expressly disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

4. Political Contribution & Corporate Disclosure Data

Information regarding political contributions, lobbying expenditures, and corporate affiliations displayed on Cart Decode is lawfully obtained from official government databases containing disclosures mandated by federal and state law. All data originates from public filings that are a matter of public record.

5. Product Safety & Recall Information

Recall and safety alert information displayed on Cart Decode originates from official U.S. government agencies. U.S. government works are in the public domain and Cart Decode reproduces this information as a matter of right to assist consumers in making safe purchasing decisions.

Cart Decode is not liable for any harm arising from a consumer's failure to act on recall information, nor for any delays in the availability of recall data caused by the issuing agencies.

6. Ethics-Matching & Personalized Sorting

Cart Decode's ethics-matching and search-sorting features organize publicly available information based on preferences voluntarily provided by the user. These features reflect the user's own stated values — Cart Decode does not impose or endorse any political, ethical, or ideological viewpoint, and does not create or imply any affiliation between Cart Decode and any political party, candidate, or ideology.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cart Decode, its members, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to:

  • The use or inability to use the Cart Decode platform;

  • Any errors or omissions in third-party source data;
